Kwala Music School is Crouch End's home for secondary school music education. We offer group classes and one-on-one tuition to help students excel in academic music exams, master their instrument, and learn the foundations of how music works.
Having taught students privately for many years, our founders Gazel and Roy are professional musicians who, seeing firsthand how music provision in schools is shrinking, set out to create a music school to fill the gap. Our classes include:

Gazel Algan
Gazel trained in Viola Performance at the Royal Academy of Music and has since performed at some of the UK’s most prestigious venues as a solo artist. A dedicated and inspiring music teacher, she focuses her lessons on each student’s individual musical development, building solid technical and theoretical foundations while inspiring a lifelong connection to creativity.

Roy Pfeffer
Roy is a drummer and educator with over 20 years of international touring experience. For more than a decade, he has shared his passion for music through teaching masterclasses and offering private tuition. His lessons span technique, theory, performance skills, and improvisation, all tailored to support the individual goals and aspirations of each student.
